Our Approach

Hi, I’m Diego Espinoza and this is my newest project Coffss Creative. Thanks for checking it out. 

I’m originally from Costa Rica and now live in Southern California. Growing up surrounded by beaches, rainforests, and constant movement shaped how I see the world. Dynamic, competitive, and always evolving.
 

At 12, I became obsessed with skateboarding. It wasn’t just a hobby; it became my identity. I went all in, learned discipline and commitment, and eventually earned sponsorships from brands like DC Shoes, Vans, Nike SB. After high school, I moved to Toronto to learn English and chase what felt like a professional skateboarding life. Eventually, I realized I wasn’t going to make a living on a board but that realization pushed me towards business school and a new way to stay connected to the culture I loved.
 

My career began as a brand manager for a startup retail and wholesale operation in Costa Rica, entering an already oversaturated market. With my employer’s trust, I focused on building with brands that wanted to grow with us. Through relevant marketing and long-term thinking, we earned partnerships with Nike SB, Vans, LRG clothing, Krew apparel, Supra footwear, Adidas Skateboarding, DC Shoes, Stance, and others, while securing distribution rights that allowed the business to scale profitably.
 

After seven years, I moved to Panama City to manage Vans distribution in Latin America. The perfect next step for my career since I needed to apply everything I had learned in Costa Rica, but in twelve Latin American markets. Shortly after, I relocated to the U.S. to join Volcom Apparel. I started in digital, then moved into regional and international roles across marketing, sales, and go-to-market leadership. All of these gave me the opportunity to lead the brand’s global entry into the mountain bike category.
I found a new passion in mountain biking. Different sport, same mindset. I saw the category changing, and with a small budget and the right partners, helped build an authentic and credible program from the ground up.
 

After my time at Volcom, I joined a marketing agency, gaining hands-on experience working across multiple brands, markets, and challenges at once.

In 2026, I'm launching Coffss Creative, bringing together 18 years of experience across action sports, marketing, sales, and global markets.
